I have created quite a few lens on Squidoo. I am a Giant Squid on the site. I have created some lens to promote affiliate programs and some of my sites.
Anyone else use Squidoo for promotion? _________________ Stefani

I had some great lenses built for me, but honestly I don't know how to promote them. lol I just knew I needed to do it. It's on my list to learn more info about it because I know they can bring more traffic to my site besides the affiliate and product sales. _________________ Val

I need to really learn about this too, have heard some great things about it BUT never took the time to really read about how it all works. I think I signed up for an account when I first heard about it, with the intentions of playing around and learning...got set on back burner and haven't had the luck of finding the login info again.
Will be looking into this soon, have it on my list of things to add to my todo list when applicable LOL _________________

I haven't taken the plunge yet, but I've been researching it and am already writing some short articles to post.

| squidoo gets more search engine attention than our pages alone can. We have to do some work on the lense so that it can rank good in SERPs. When your message is good enough, people will help you promote your stuff. That's what viral internet marketing is... You no longer need to be the driving force, but all the people who see your value might put in a little bit of effort. |

Good info... I'm setting up a page now as we begin to increase our online visibility! I'll see how it goes and post info later... |

Anyone have any success stories with Squidoo? I've got our setup but honestly don't know who would actually find it there...
Wait, hold the presses! Apparently I've made some dough... a little something is better than nothing right? Lol.
YOUR ROYALTIES (02/01/2010 to 02/28/2010)
Your previous balance + Refer-A-Friend bonuses = $0.04
Your new lens earnings this period = $0.00
Total earnings = $0.04!
So that might qualify as a success. But that's pretty good considering my lens is ranked #230,578!
So I'm not sure Squidoo is of much value to my laundry related topic, but I do like that it's just one more place our product info is listed on on the internet. _________________ http://www.drop-click-and-go.com

I can't share any success stories just quite yet because I haven't built mine yet but I do have big plans once this new site is launched.
I do want to say however it's really way too early to decide if Squidoo is going to be of much value for you. Believe it or not ... that $0.04 is pretty darned good for all the longer you've had it up.
In your case, I would look at any income you do get from Squidoo as completely and total extra icing on the cake. I wouldn't put too much focus on using it as an income source as much as ... just like you said ...

And that's exactly what I would suggest using it for. As I mentioned in some of my other posts ... you have the perfect niche for something such as Squidoo ... and it points right to your website for the solution.
You've got a great niche for the 'tips scene' or 'how to scene' ... again, all pointing back to your website. Everyone comes to the internet for information and you'll be providing exactly that.
So don't get down just yet ... let the search engines find you, keep adding new content/links where you can ... and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised
Take care,

Yeah, I thought the fact that one could earn $ from it was an interesting concept but really liked that they provided a good platform to post your business stuff on in a professional way!

And that my friend is one thing too many just can't seem to grasp the concept of. Just because you're not making immediate money does *not* mean it's not working
Take care,
